Immersion in Self
Water carries, rocks, purifies and regenerates. I have been lucky to live since I left Paris in 1999, on the seaside (Guadeloupe, Nice, New Caledonia). Instinctively, I find in the water the need to stretch and explore the effects of floating and immersion on the body's feeling.
Our oldest memory is aquatic, the memory of a jellyfish in the heart of the oceans, the memory of an embryo floating in the ocean of our mother's womb.
By leaving the laws of gravity imposed by the ground in our practice on the mat, we lose our usual landmarks in immersion, until we find the lightness and freedom
of the original depths and infuse it into our daily life.
Aqua yoga allows you to discover a new space of practice. The state of weightlessness and buoyancy makes us travel. Compared to yoga, the aqua yoga session does not cause joint pain because of the weightlessness of the water. Aqua yoga classes are accessible to everyone, regardless of your age and physical condition. Highly recommended if you suffer from joint and back problems.
Muscularly, it is a rather calm effort, which will make you work in a pleasant way and whose effects lead to a deep release and relaxation. Cellular memory will be at the heart of this ancestral practice to find its lightness and freedom in our original depths.
I teach aqua yoga on the source principles of Loredana Harmoniaux and Marie-laure Bousquet who trained me in 2019.
During the retreats in Polynesia, we practice in the lagoon (28 degrees minimum) workshops of yoga in the water, aquatic meditative mindfulness walking and meditation on the beach.
